2025 marks the Long Beach Modern Quilt Guild's 10th year as an official guild. We offer everyone a 10th Anniversary Challenge. We are asking members to use TEN, 10, X, or whatever represents ten to them in a quilt. This is a quilt challenge. There is no size restriction.
Ways to represent 10
- Wonky "X" blocks
- Any "X" blocks
- A 10 sided kaleidoscope
- A 10 pointed star
- Binary code ( 1's and 0's)
- The word "TEN" repeated in the quilting
- Ten blocks make up the quilt
- Ten colors used in the palette
Requirements
- Quilts can be any size.
- Quilts must be quilted and bound.
- "10" can be represented as many ways as you like. You will be asked to share how "10" is represented in the finished quilt.
- Quilt patterns are allowed.
- Quilts should reflect the modern aesthetic.
Timeline
November Meeting - Present final projects to the membership.
Online voting from November 15 to December 7.
December Meeting - Award 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes from online voting.
