UFO and Goals Challenge

The Challenge: Complete 4 UFO/Goal quilt projects in 2025

Eligible Projects

  • UFOs: Any unfinished quilt in any state of completion
  • Goals: Any quilting-related goal you wish to finish/accomplish

Criteria

  • Submit a list of 4 projects to accomplish in 2025
    • Quilts: Provide the quilt name and short description
    • Goals can be skill, process, or outcome-oriented
      • Goals must be quilting-related
      • Briefly describe the goal’s intention
      • Include measurable completion criteria

Any combination of UFOs or Goals may be entered into the challenge.

Submissions

  • Quilts must be quilted and bound
  • Goals must meet the submitted completion criteria
  • Send a photo of the completed project to Sandra Johnson at the LBMQG email anytime before the check-in dates.
If appropriate, a brief statement of completion may suffice.

Key Dates

  • February 16: Last day to sign up with project/goals list
  • Check-in dates: Mar 11, Jun 10, Sep 09, and Dec 09

If you live locally: Sign up at the Bridge Center's Show and Tell list and check the “UFO Challenge” box.

If you're participating remotely: Submit a photo by the Sunday before the check-in meeting via email or the show and tell form. Note it's part of your UFO/Goals challenge.

Completions can be submitted anytime!

Projects can be brought to any meeting. If there’s no drawing that month, the entry rolls over to the next eligible drawing.

Each completed UFO/Goal earns one drawing ticket for a prize at quarterly check-ins.

  • July 13: Last day to reset UFO/Goals projects

Plans change—we get it! You may reset your list once before Sunday, July 13.

Note: New projects added during a reset are ineligible for one meeting month’s drawing.

Example: Add new projects by May meeting to be eligible for June drawing.

Second Chance / Final Drawing

Anyone completing all four project goals by Dec 31, 2025 will be entered into the grand prize drawing.

Drawing will be held at the first guild meeting in January 2026.
