2nd Tuesday of every month!
Next Meeting: Mar 10, 7–9 p.m.
Guest Speaker: Marge Tucker, Improv & Abstraction in Antique Quilts

Marge Tucker is an international award-winning quilt artist with a focus on abstract improvisational design. She pieces her quilts without a definitive image of what the finished piece will look like. Marge starts with a general concept and color palette then sees where she is led.
Marge made her first quilt over twenty-five years ago for friends expecting their first child. At that time, Marge didn’t know that quilting would become her passion and profession.
Marge has received numerous award for her quilts, including “Best Machine Quilting” at QuiltCon 2019 and “Best Sewing Machine Workmanship Award – Modern” at the 2019 Pacific International Quilt Festival.
Marge shares the tradition of quilting with her students. She teaches in person and online in her Rockland, MA, studio, and travels for in-person workshops throughout the United States.

Show and Tell
Every meeting you can expect:
-
Catch up with your friends! From 6:30p-7:00p the meeting is open social time.
-
Feel free to share any project you're working on at any stage! That could be bags! Garments! Quilt tops only! Quilt blocks! And it doesn’t necessarily need to be modern...
If we meet in person...Just bring your item to the meeting!
Please sign in your item when you arrive at the Bridge Center so we don't miss anyone. Thanks!
If we meet virtually...We'll put a picture of your item in a slideshow before the meeting so everyone can view it in all its wonderfulness. It’s easy in a few steps:
Send pictures to longbeachmqg@gmail.com by the Saturday immediately before the next meeting - see our calendar for details
Include information about the quilt:
Your name
Quilt or Project Name
Pattern used, block name or technique, or if self-designed
Inspiration, goal, or reason for quilt/project
Fabric if using a particular brand or designer
You may also use this form to help you submit a Show and Tell item
Your Show and Tell will be put into a slideshow that will be shared at the online meeting
Feel free to submit as many projects as you want, but please note that depending on the number of shares, we may need to pick a favorite if time becomes limited.

If we meet in person...
Each month, several members are designated to bring small donations which are raffled off at the monthly guild meetings. Members and guests can buy a single raffle ticket for $1 or 6 tickets for $5. This is currently one of our main sources of additional income for the guild.
If we meet virtually...Raffles at virtual meetings will be for members only. Thank you for understanding
