Perspectives: A Fiber Art Exhibit

The annual Long Beach, Calif. April 8, 2023 – Long Beach Modern Quilt Guild proudly presents Perspectives at the Zena and Pauline Gatov Gallery in the Alpert Jewish Community Center located at 3801 E. Willow Street, Long Beach, California from May 3 to 30. The Alpert JCC is open Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 9p.m., Fridays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

All of the pieces are created, curated, and displayed by the LBMQG members. The guild is home to designers, artists, and a variety of makers, whose works are displayed at national and international shows, such as Road to California and Quiltcon. The exhibition also includes quilts that took the top prizes at both the 2022 Los Angeles and Orange County fairs. The public is encouraged to come and immerse themselves in the modern quilts and fiber art on display. The guild’s annual community charity quilt, “Fractured,” took the blue ribbon at the 2022 Orange County Fair.

The Long Beach Modern Quilt Guild is dedicated to providing programming and education centered on the dual art and craft of modern quilting in the greater Long Beach community. Founded in 2015, the LBMQG aims to inspire, educate and develop friendships while striving to bridge the needs of our community through quilting.
